Dear Friend of Vickie’s Fitness Fun,
If you are starting a fitness routine or adding to one, I challenge you to form small goals or intentions for yourself. We all can benefit from beginning with small steps. You will find you can build on your successes as you take a step. Try one thing, take a new fitness class, balance your nutrition, detox, release stress and then commit to incorporating that one thing into your life.
Strengthen your Digestion
Good digestion is one of the components of health. When your digestion system is functioning properly we absorb all needed nutrients from food, enjoy strong circulation and a strong immunity. If you feel you have not been eating properly, you can also add a detox component which should help get all your digestion working at its best. There are a variety of ways to find your way to healthy eating. I encourage you to find what works for you.
Release Stress
Yoga is an excellent and a powerful way to release stress. Yoga balances the body including the central nervous system and endocrine system. Meditation and yoga help balance your mind and body. Let your mind go and release that stress.
Mix it Up
If you have not tried a new fitness class I encourage you to try one. I encourage you to practice a variety of classes to insure you do not get bored and your body will appreciate learning new things. Muscle memory happens when you do the same routine. That is how you stop seeing results and how injuries happen. My philosophy is that it has to be fun or you will not stick to it. Variety is key.
Relish All You Have and Are
Gratitude is a powerful way to bring balance and bring joy into your life. I encourage you to create a list of the things, the people and the qualities which you are grateful for and you will find joy. Remember to put yourself on that list! As you nurture an attitude of appreciation you will be happier and healthier. We all need to encourage each other to be happy with the person you are right now, at this moment in time. Take time today to thank someone for something small.
